ChEESE (Centre of Excellence in the domain of Solid earth)
ChEESE will capitalize on the European institutions responsible for operating and monitoring Tier-0 HPC centers, hardware manufactures, industry, government and third party SMEs. It will promote and facilitate the integration of HPC services to allow access to codes for the Solid Earth user community
The main goal is to prepare 10 flagship codes to address the Exascale Computing Challenging (ECC) on computational seismology, magnetohydrodynamics, physical volcanology, tsunami data analysis and predictive techniques for monitoring earthquakes and volcanoes.
ChEESE will act as a hub to encourage HPC in the Solid Earth community and related stakeholders and to provide specialized tools, services and capacity building measures.
