Fostering sustainable agriculture through High Performance Computing

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, through the European program EuroHPC JU, is part of the European Union project "National Competence Centers in the Framework of EuroHPC" (eurohpc-ju.europa.eu), which established the National Center of High Performance Computing (HPC). Within the European project, this center is creating a network of skills in HPC that will operate as an interface to facilitate access to resources and superior computing capabilities in this field, both in Romania and in Europe (through the EuroCC network). Thus, the center provides valuable resources for users and potential users in Romania in the private and public environment, for public administration, educational and research institutions, companies, and other interested entities.

The National Competence Center in HPC - RoNCC is pleased to invite you to the online workshop "Fostering sustainable agriculture through High Performance Computing", which will take place on March 16th, at 11:00 AM (GMT+2). The event aims at disseminating to users the benefits of using HPC (High Performance Computing), HPDA (High Performance Data Analysis) and AI technologies in the agriculture sector and to explore the multiple development possibilities of adopting HPC in innovation activities and projects, by sharing use cases and best practices.

The event is addressed to existing or potential users of HPC, HPDA and AI in the private sector (SMEs, start-ups) as well as in the public sector (universities, public administration, research institutions, etc.), whose projects and activities fall into the field of AGRICULTURE.
