The National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest organized yesterday, October 12, 2021, the event "HPC - High Performance Computing in Romania: perspectives, challenges and opportunities."
The event was divided into three sessions, the first being dedicated to familiarizing the Romanian audience with the HPC field. The other two sessions were dedicated to the public administration and SMEs, with NVIDIA representatives providing training for each of the two sectors.
In the first session, the topics covered a wide range of areas that benefit from the applicability of HPC, ranging from exploratory research to aerospace and academic research.
"HPC is a <game-changer> for business, academia as well as public administration. Through the event, ICI Bucharest aimed to inform key-players in Romania about the latest technologies, demonstrating the applicability of HPC in the three sectors mentioned above." said Mr. Victor Vevera, CEO of the National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics.
